Recreational

The recreational classes are well structured with the emphasis on fun. Gymnasts will be happy and safe while learning balance, co-ordination, confidence, self-awareness, flexibility and strength.

Gymnasts will progress their skills through our comprehensive range of apparatus including vault, floor, trampette, bars, beam, trampoline and exercise for conditioning and flexibility.

Gymnasts will work through the British Gymnastics series earning badges 8 (lowest) through 1 (highest).

Recreational Term dates for 2019/2020:

Recreational Gymnastics Infant, Junior and Senior Gymnastics – termly payment – we have not changed the fees for our recreational classes, although due to the increasing numbers on our waiting lists there will no longer be a multiple class discount.

Recreational : Class Schedule

Infant Gymnastics Ages: 4-7 Class duration: 1 Hour

This class is perfect for children progressing on from pre-school gymnastic classes or young children wanting to try gymnastics for the first time. These structured hour-long sessions are a great introduction to basic gymnastic skills and help to enhance coordination, balance, flexibility and strength in a safe and happy environment. During the term our qualified coaches will help children to develop their skills on a range of different apparatus including the floor, vault, bars, beam and trampoline. The British Gymnastics Badge Awards are worked on throughout the term and stickers are given out for good behaviour, effort and achievements. .

Junior Gymnastics Ages: 7-11 Class duration: 1 Hour

This class is an ideal progression from our infant class or as a first experience for primary school age children. These structured hour-long sessions build on gymnastics knowledge and our qualified coaches will help children become more confident on larger apparatus. During the term children will develop their skills on different apparatus including the floor, vault, bars, beam and trampoline. The British Gymnastics Badge Awards are worked on throughout the term and stickers are given out for good behavior, effort and achievements. .

Senior Gymnastics Ages: 11 + Class duration: 1 Hour

This class is a further progression from our junior class or is a great place for senior school age children to try gymnastics. These structured hour-long sessions reinforce basic gymnastic knowledge and our qualified coaches help progression onto more advanced skills whilst building strength, flexibility and confidence. During the term children will develop their skills on different apparatus including the floor, vault, bars, beam, trampoline and may work on The British Gymnastics Badge Awards if they wish.
